Webinar: “1st Call for proposals for FREE Research Services: Presentation of services and discussion of technical details”. Thursday May 28th, 14:00-16:00.

Aim
To support research productivity and innovation in Greece, as well as the detection and support of projects that have the capacity to lead to state-of-the-art applications in personalised medicine.
​
In this 1st Call, four (4) research proposals will be given Open Access to pMedGR's services.
​
Services offered gratis
​Services offered include all necessary consumables.

Genomic or Transcriptomic Analysis (NGS) with the option of Single Cell Analysis
-
Mass Cytometry (CyTOF)
-
Proteomic Analysis
-
Bioinformatics Analysis
​
Eligible applicants
All Faculty Members of the Medical School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens.
​
Submission deadline: June 15th, 2020
Results announcement
​
35 project proposals were submitted under this Call; the requested research services were distributed as follows*:
-
NGS: 27 submitted proposals
-
Single Cell Analysis: 4 submitted proposals
-
Proteomics: 7 submitted proposals
-
CyTOF: 6 submitted proposals
*Several proposals included more than one technology; Bioinformatics included in all services to be provided.
The submitted proposals were of high scientific interest and quality, which made the selection process particularly difficult. In addition to the criteria of scientific excellence, feasibility, maturity and possibility of innovation, the evaluation committee also took into account the technical feasibility of the projects, the estimated cost, but also the need to cover all the services offered by the Infrastructure, which is our obligation under the NSRF.

It was thus decided to implement 2 additional projects in relation to the 4 that were initially announced.
